Exchange Programme

The project provides for 36 Australian and 36 European students to exchange countries for postgraduate (Master's or course work Master's level) education whereby each student will have the opportunity to study and live in Australia (EU student) or EU member countries (Australian student) for a period of 6 months and complete a number of units that they will be given credit for in their home institutions. The first exchange of students will take place from January to July 2004. At each partner institution there are 4 scholarships available for this first exchange round. Next round of exchanges will be from January to July 2005, and a similar number of scholarships will be made available.

The programme of study for a semester will include a common unit for all students under the programme, as well as elective units that the students can select from lists of units on offer at the host institution. The common unit will start up with a two week intensive course at KVL in Denmark for all participating students, before students move to their respective universities. Parallel to the studies at the 8 different universities the common unit will continue with seminars linking participating students locally and internationally through use of IT tools. The common unit will conclude with a written assignment and individual reflective essays on student's experiences and learning through the exchange programme.
